Compact mode

Compact mode is an automatic behavior that activates when the Gantt container width drops below 650px. No configuration is required — it works out of the box.

How compact mode changes the layout

When compact mode is active, the Gantt adjusts its UI to fit smaller screens:

• Only the grid area is displayed. The chart area is hidden but can be opened on demand — the two areas cannot be shown at the same time.
• The task editor opens as an overlay on top of the entire Gantt instead of appearing in a sidebar panel.
